Except where noted, all of the code in this book is in good old ISO/IEC 9899 C. The development platform of choice was OpenBSD 3.0 with all of the stock development tools that come with it (such as make, ar, and ld). The GNU C Compiler (gcc) version 2.95.3 was used to compile all of the code. While OpenBSD was the development platform, the majority of the code in this book should also port to many other Unix and Unix-like operating systems and possibly Win32/Cygwin.
