Appendix A. DOM Reference DOM stands for Director Object Model and was introduced in Director MX 2004. It provides a tree-like interface that exposes the entire Director environment through a series of logically organized objects. A great thing about the DOM is that it is global in scope, meaning you can access it anytime and anywhere. This appendix, compiled from Director's Help, is provided to help you quickly identify the methods and properties of the various core objects. The following image helps to show the relationship of these objects to one another: |
