Like all edits, the effects of these fixes are cumulative. If you change your mind after applying an effect, click the Undo button before applying a different effect.

Digital photos can often benefit from the application of I'm Feeling Lucky, Auto Contrast, or Auto Color. You may want to try these tools first and then apply manual tuning as needed.

There is no Undo for a rotation. Click the opposite Rotate button to reverse the rotation.

You can also rotate images without leaving the Picture Library. Select their thumbnails and click one of the Rotate buttons at the bottom of the screen.

Crop p. 72

A Manual crop is best reserved only for pictures destined for on-screen viewing. Unless you crop to a standard paper size, manual cropping often results in extra white space around the edges of the print.

Redeye p. 75

If you Undo a Redeye correction, the fix cannot later be reapplied by clicking Redo. You'll have to make the Redeye correction again.

Be careful not to select too much area around the red. Doing so can result in a strange, unwanted effect that's similar to colored eye liner.

Tuning controls p. 77

Think of the Tuning controls as Picasa's advanced editing tools. Until you become familiar with the ways they interact with one another, you may prefer to stick to the simpler corrections on the Basic Fixes tab.

Batch Edit p. 78

Not all batch edits can be undone with Undo All Edits. Reverse a Rotate command by choosing the opposite command. To restore the filename to a renamed image, select the image in the Picture Library and choose File > Rename.
