Adds or removes computer
accounts to or from the domain.

Syntax

net computer \\computername {/add | /del}

Options

\\computername

Indicates name of computer to add to or remove from the domain

/add

Adds a computer account

/del

Removes a computer account

Examples

Add a computer account for the server

GEORGE :

net computer \\george /add
The command completed successfully.

If you now open the Active Directory Users and Computers console, you
will find a new computer account for

GEORGE in
the Computers container for the current domain.

Notes

• Using this command, you can create computer accounts for member
  servers and workstations, but not for domain controllers.

• Computer accounts are created on the PDC emulator.
