It Works Like This

Check out the

Ch18FinishedProject.mov file in this chapter's folder on the book's DVD. To achieve those results, you'll do the following:

1. Use the Cartooner effect to create animated sketches from video footage.

2. Create a still image from a frame of your footage.

3. Use the Vector Paint effect to matte the car sketch, and animate the matte so the sketch appears to be drawn onscreen.

4. Quickly create some masks that will frame videos with color strokes.

5. Create a gridded background.

6. Use a quick method to isolate the car from its black background.
