1. | In the Animation palette, select frame 4. Only the small blue symbol on the right will be visible in the document window. Display the group (of symbols) on the layer in the Layer 1 layer set, by turning on its visibility in the Layers palette.[View full size image] |
2. | In the Animation palette, select frame 5, and then turn on the visibility of the layer in the Layer 2 layer set in the Layers palette. Select frame 6 in the Animation palette, and then turn on the visibility of the layer in the Layer 3 layer set in the Layers palette. Select frame 7 in the Animation palette, and then turn on the visibility of the layer in the Layer 1 layer set in the Layers palette. |
3. | Select frame 9 in the Animation palette, and then turn on the visibility of the <Path> layer in the Layer 8 layer set in the Layers palette, so that the white text appears on a blue background. (See illustration on next page.)[View full size image] |
4. | Click the Play button at the bottom of the Animation palette to preview the improved version of the animation in the document window. Click the Stop button when done. |
5. | Type Ctrl-Alt-P / Command-Option-P to preview the animation in the default browser. This provides a more accurate preview of the animation, in particular the timing of displaying the frames.The animation needs to be slowed down and set to only play once. |
6. | Select Once from the pop-up menu in the lower left corner of the Animation palette.[View full size image] |
7. | Choose Select All Frames from the Animation palette menu, and then select a frame delay time of 0.2 seconds from the pop-up menu, located under frame 1 (or any other frame). This will set the frame delay time for all selected frames.[View full size image]To allow more time for the rotating symbols before the blue symbol whirls into the image and covers all, you need to add three more frames (copies of the frames 1 through 3) at the beginning of the animation. |
8. | Select frame 1 in the Animation palette, and then Shift-click frame 3 to select frames 1 through 3. Choose Copy Frames from the palette menu.[View full size image] |
9. | To add a copy of these three frames at the beginning of the animation, choose Paste Frames from the palette menu, and in the Paste Frames dialog box, select Paste Before Selection, and click OK. |
10. | Preview the animation in your browser. Use the reload command in the browser to restart the animation. Switch back to ImageReady when done. |
