Chapter 13: Timesaving Techniques
Overview
One of the advantages of using a computer for publishing is that it can do a lot of the work for you. That's particularly true of detail-oriented or repetitive work. InDesign has several features that let you save time by handling such repetitive, exacting chores for you. For example, if you're creating a checkerboard pattern as a page background, there's no need to create, modify, and place 20 or more frames by hand. You might start with one or two, then automatically duplicate and distribute the copies on your page.
