When it comes to working with the objects you've placed on a page, InDesign provides several timesaving features. You can create a single copy of any object using the Copy and Paste commands (Edit menu), using the Duplicate command (Edit menu), or by Option+dragging or Alt+dragging a clone of the original. The Step and Repeat command (Edit menu) lets you create multiple copies of objects and position the copies relative to the originals. The Paste in Place command will paste an object at the same X and Y coordinates as the original object. The Align pane (Window Align or Shift+F7) lets you align multiple objects and control the amount of space between them, while vertical and horizontal ruler guides and snap-to-grid features help you accurately position and align items.
