Synopsis
<body onresize="handler" ... ><frameset onresize="handler" ... >
window.onresize
Description
The onresize property of the Window object
specifies an event handler function that is invoked when the user
changes the size of the window or frame.
The
initial value of this property is a function that contains the
JavaScript statements specified by the onresize
attribute of the HTML <body> or
<frameset> tag that defined the window. When
an event handler function is defined by an HTML attribute, it is
executed in the scope of element rather
than in the scope of the containing window.
In the Netscape 4 event model, the onresize
handler function is passed an Event object as an argument. In the IE
event model, no argument is passed, but the applicable Event object
is available as the event property of the Window
object that contains the element.
In Netscape, the new size of the window is available from the
width and height properties of
the Event object.

This fourth edition of the definitive reference to
JavaScript, a scripting language that can be embedded
directly in web pages, covers the latest version of the
language, JavaScript 1.5, as supported by Netscape 6 and
Internet Explorer 6. The book also provides complete
coverage of the W3C DOM standard (Level 1 and Level 2),
while retaining material on the legacy Level 0 DOM for
backward compatibility.
