Appendix A. Publishing SWF Files

The way that you publish FLA files is detrimental to your project. The way you publish the file affects how you display and present your work to your audience because the SWF file (or alternative format that you choose to publish) is all the visitor sees. This appendix helps you understand your publish options and how Flash Player works.

Each project throughout this book includes a section for publishing and presenting your work. However, there are a few more situations you might find yourself in when you build projects for clients or create a wide range of different websites. In the following sections, you explore other ways to publish your FLA files and ways to detect Flash Player on your visitor's computer.
