What You've Learned
This appendix discusses the Classic Environment: how it works, and how it interacts with the Mac OS X operating system. You have also learned some troubleshooting options and approaches.
- To use the Classic environment, Mac OS 9 must be installed and properly configured. You select which Mac OS 9 System Folder to use and configure Classic options in Classic preferences.
- If an application does not respond to input from the keyboard or mouse, switch to Mac OS X and choose Apple > Force Quit, or press Command-Option-Escape to display the Force Quit Applications window. Select the application to quit, and click Force Quit.
