Using PPPoE

If you are using an Ethernet connection to a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) modem, PPPoE may be required by your ISP. With an Ethernet port chosen in the Show pop-up menu, configure the account name and password in the PPPoE pane. You can configure additional PPPoE options by clicking the PPPoE Options button. You can also choose to display the PPPoE status in the menu bar.

Just as with PPP, you can also use Internet Connect to establish the connection to the ISP as well as enter the account information.

NOTE

When PPPoE is configured on the Ethernet port, AppleTalk is disabled.
