Understanding Directory Service Logs It's important that your Mac OS X Server binding work properly. Most of the problems with binding arise from typos or mislabeled mappings. Knowing how to view and read the Directory Service log files is essential in discovering problems and fixing them.To view the Directory Service logs:
1. | Open the Server Admin application, located in /Applications/Server/, and authenticate as the administrator of the server (Figure 3.74).

TipPrior to creating an Open Directory master, you should view the slapconfig.log in the /Library/Log directory.
