Chapter 9. that's a wrap


In addition to building a DVD, you may want to produce a digital file to play from your hard disk, burn to a CD-ROM to send to a friend or loved one, or post to a web site for downloading. You may also want to produce a file to import into another program for further editing or DVD production. You'll probably also want to record your project back to tape, just to save an archival copy.

To accomplish all these tasks, Premiere Elements can produce a range of output formats including QuickTime, Windows Media, MPEG, and AVI. Fortunately, Premiere Elements makes all of these operations simple, typically with presets like those shown above. No confusing parameters to learn, just click and go.

Let's start by writing your project back to tape. Then we'll explore some of Premiere Elements' other rendering capabilities.
