export to tape
All of my video projects start life on DV tape, and end up there as well, since DV tapes are an economical medium to archive the edited version of my movies. Once on DV tape, I can also easily dub a copy to VHS tape for viewers who don't have DVD players or a computer. To start, go back to Set Up for DV Capture on page 12 and get your DV camera connected in VTR/VCR mode with a DV tape cued to where you wish to start recording. We'll be overwriting any content on the tape, so get a new tape, use an old tape you don't mind overwriting, or cue a tape with sufficient capacity beyond any content you wish to save.
