the value of teachers
imam hussayn (p. b. u. h.) once sent one of his children to a teacher for
education.
the teacher taught him a sura (chapter) from the holy qur'an.
when the boy read that sura for imam hussayn he became very happy and showed
much kindness to the teacher. some people became very surprised at the amount
of kindness which imam hussayn showed to the teacher.
however, imam hussayn said to them, "this kindness that i have done for that
teacher is nothing as compared to what he has done."
the word of a teacher is very important and it is necessary that everybody
respects him.
we should never forget a person who has taught us something and we should
be grateful to him for as long as we live.
