Control Bar Status and the Registry
The MFC library provides two CFrameWnd member functions, SaveBarState and LoadBarState, for saving and loading control bar status to and from the Registry, respectively. These functions process the size and position of the status bar and docked toolbars. They don't process the position of floating toolbars, however.
