Highlights

The preceding chapters of this book have shown how to use Visual Studio .NET and UML to help architect an object-oriented solution that fulfills business needs. In order to accomplish this, Requirements were gathered and analyzed, conceptual designs were constructed, logical and functional diagrams were created, and a framework for the implementation was generated. All of this was accomplished from a truly object-oriented, code perspective. This chapter intends to illustrate how to do much the same thing but rather from a data-centric view. We will show how the new tools available to us can be used to achieve more speed, reliability, pertinence, and efficiency throughout the development process.
