Make an alias if you find that you are constantly digging into a particular folder to find a particular file. Or make an alias of the entire folder and put the folder alias right on your Desktop.Use the System Preferences to customize just about everything on your Mac.Search your entire hard disk or any portion of it with Spotlight. Limit your search or organize the results.Use widgets in your Dashboard to access information and perform tasks.You can burn data files (text, photographs, etc.) to a CD using the method described in this chapter, but to burn music CDs that you can listen to in any player, use iTunes to create a playlist and burn the CD. (Detailed directions for using iTunes are in the Cool Mac Apps book because they wouldn't fit in this book!)
