Remove an item from the Dock
If you find you never use certain applications whose icons are in your Dock, you can remove the icons. Don't worryyou won't destroy the original files! All you remove is a pictureyou can't hurt the original application, folder, file, web site, or anything else.If you don't have a digital video camera yet, you might want to get iMovie out of your Dock. Or drag the Apple web site icon out of the right side of the Dock; you can always get to the Apple site anyway.You cannot remove the Finder icon, Dashboard icon, or the Trash basket, though.
| 1. | To remove an item from the Dock, press on it with the mouse button. | | 2. | Without letting go of the mouse button, drag the icon off the top of the Dock and drop it anywhere on the Desktop. A cute little "poof" will appear.
