One space after periodsWhat?! One space after a period? If you grew up on a typewriter, this is a difficult habit to change, I know. Or if you were taught key-boarding skills by someone who grew up on a typewriter, they taught you typewriter rules. But characters on a Macintosh are not monospaced as they are on a typewriter (except for a few typefaces such as Monaco, Courier, and Andale Mono), so there is no need to use two spaces to separate two sentences. Check any book or magazine on your shelf; you will never find two spaces after periods (except publications produced on a computer typed by someone still using typewriter rules).Chapter 10 for details on how to go to a web page. |
