Opening & Closing Widgets


To use a widget, you must open it. If you want it to appear every time you open Dashboard, you can leave it open when you close Dashboard. Otherwise, you can close the widget.

To open a widget



1.

Open Dashboard (Figure 1 ). If the widget you want to use is already displayed, you can skip the following steps; the widget is already open and ready to use.

2.

If the widget you want to use is not already displayed, open the Widget Bar (Figure 2 ).

3.

Click the icon for the widget you want to use (Figure 5 ).

The widget you clicked appears onscreen and is ready to use (Figure 6 ).

Tip

    One of the cool thing about widgets is that you can open more than one copy of the same widget. So, for example, if you want to view the World Clock for Wickenburg, AZ, and Oshkosh, WI, you simply open the World Clock widget twice and configure each one for one of the cities.

To close a widget


If the Widget Bar is displayed, an button should appear at the upper-left corner of the widget (Figure 2 ).

Or

If the Widget Bar is not displayed, hold down the key and point to the widget you want to close. An button appears at its upper-left corner (Figure 7 ).
