Joining & Accessing .Mac
In order to use .Mac features, you must become either a Trial or Full member. These instructions explain how to join .Mac with a full membership.
Tips- You must be 13 years of age or older to join .Mac.If you are already a member of .Mac, you can skip this section.
To join .Mac
| 1. | Use your Web browser to view the .Mac Home page at Figure 1 ). |
| 2. | Click the Join Now button. |
| 3. | Fill in the Sign Up form that appears in your Web browser window (Figure 2 ).Figure 2. To join .Mac, start by filling out the Sign Up form.[View full size image]  |
| 4. | Click the Continue button at the bottom of the form. |
| 5. | Fill in the Billing Information form that appears (Figure 3 ).Figure 3. Use the Billing Information form to enter credit card information to pay for your membership.[View full size image]  |
| 6. | Click the Continue button at the bottom of the form. |
| 7. | When your account has been set up, a Print your information page like the one in Figure 4 appears. Use your browser's Print command to print the information for future reference.Figure 4. | 8. | Click Continue. |
| 9. | A Thank You page appears next. It summarizes the features of .Mac. Click the Start Using .Mac button at the bottom of the page to go to the .Mac Home page, where you're already logged in (Figure 5 ).Figure 5. The .Mac page when you re logged in to your account. Tips- After step 6, if the Member name you selected is already in use, you'll be prompted to enter a different member name. Follow the instructions that appear to continue.You'll need the e-mail address and server information that appears in the Print your information window to set up your .Mac e-mail account in an e-mail client application other than Mail.
To log in to .Mac
| 1. | Use your Web browser to view the .Mac Home page at Figure 1 ). |
| 2. | Click the Log In link. |
| 3. | Enter your member name and password in the appropriate boxes of the log in form (Figure 6 ) and click Enter. The .Mac Home page appears (Figure 5 ).Figure 6. Use this log-in form to log in to your .Mac account.[View full size image]  |
Tip- Your member name may automatically be entered in the Log In form (Figure 6 ).
To log out
Click the Log Out link on the .Mac Home page (
