The Phone Book Channel
The Phone Book channel (Figure 28 ) is a great way to find local businesses and get the directions you need to find them.

Tip- The Phone Book channel was known as the Yellow Pages channel in previous versions of Sherlock.
To search for a business listing
| 1. | Open the Phone Book channel (Figure 28 ). |
| 2. | Choose a recent entry from the Find Near drop-down list.or Enter an Address Book entry name or city and state in the Find Near box. |
| 3. | Enter a business name or category in the Business Name or Category box.or Choose a category or recent business name from the Business Name or Category drop-down list (Figure 29 ).Figure 29. The Business Name or Category drop-down list includes standard categories, as well as recently accessed business names. |
| 4. | Click the magnifying glass button to begin the search. |
| 5. | After a moment, search results begin to appear. Select a listing to view driving directions and a map in the bottom half of the window (Figure 30 )Figure 30. Select a business to display driving directions and a map.[View full size image]  |
Tip- In many instances, driving directions are for the shortest route, which may not be the quickest or most convenient. If I followed the driving directions in Figure 30 , for example, I'd hit at least 50 traffic lights; I know a slightly longer but quicker route with only four traffic lights. Which do you think I'd take?
