The Edit Menu
The Edit menu (Figures 32 and 33 ) includes commands for modifying the contents of a document. Here's a quick list of the commands you're likely to find, along with their standard keyboard equivalents:
- Undo (
) reverses the last editing action you made.Redo (
) reverses the last undo.Cut (
) removes a selection from the document and puts a copy of it in the Clipboard.Copy (
) puts a copy of a selection in the Clipboard.Paste (
) inserts the contents of the Clipboard into the document at the insertion point or replaces selected text in the document with the contents of the Clipboard.Clear or Delete removes a selection from the document. This is the same as pressing
when document contents are selected.Select All (
