How to Use the Companion CD
The CD that is provided with this book contains numerous white papers that supplement the material presented here. We’ve also included demos of Windows Media 9 Series in action and some useful tools, such as Windows Media Load Simulator 9 Series, that are referenced throughout the book. You’ll also find Windows Media Player 9 Series and Windows Media Encoder 9 Series with its companion utilities.
System Requirements
The companion CD requires the following:Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0Microsoft Producer for PowerPoint 2002. Microsoft Producer has the following minimum system requirements:Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 1 or Microsoft Windows XP operating system.400 megahertz (MHz) processor. A processor speed of 600 MHz or higher is recommended when capturing from a digital video device.128 megabytes (MB) of RAM. 2 gigabytes (GB) of free hard disk space. An audio capture device to capture audio. A video (DV or analog) capture device to capture video.Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.1 or later. Windows Media Player 9 Series is recommended.An Internet or network connection to publish a presentation to a Web site, intranet site, e-service provider, or shared network location.
