By using symbols, you can achieve tremendous file size savings when you are creating Web graphics for export in the SWF and SVG file formats. When you use symbols in your artwork, you can repeat a graph many times, but only one original copy of that artwork is stored within the file. When designing maps, creating animations, or using other designs that incorporate repeating graphics, it's well worth the effort to find excuses to use symbols. Refer to Chapter 5,
