Defining the Data Source
Your first task is to select the XML schema. When InfoPath looks at a schema, it may find some ambiguity about root elements, as in this case, where there are several possibilities. To load our example schema, choose the file meta1.2.xsd from the case_study folder, and select the resourceList element. Figure 14-1 illustrates the interface.Figure 14-1: Choosing a root element.
When you have loaded the file, the data source task pane should look like Figure 14-2.

Not all controls appear in all three views. The following table shows the mapping of schema elements (or their attributes) in the different views.
