ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

This book would not have been possible without the collective experience and wisdom of the hundreds of colleagues with whom I have had the opportunity to work over the years. To each of them, my sincere thanks. I would also like to extend my appreciation to Jorge Diaz, the most talented financial executive with whom I have had the good fortune of working. Additionally, I would like to recognize the professional support and good friendship of Ron Jordan and Joe Monaghan, two executives who showed their confidence in me from day one. Kudos also go out to David Guerra, Brooke Maguire and Dr. Humberto Serna for their input in this work. I value your attention to detail, patience and suggestions.

I would also like to express my appreciation to the people at J. Ross Publishing. Without the help of Drew Gierman, Sandy Pearlman and Lynn Cannon, this work would not have been possible.

Most importantly, I must thank my immediate family for their confidence in me over the years. To my brother, Richard, and sister, Kate, I cannot adequately express my appreciation. Finally, a special thank you to my wife, Patricia, and children, Nicolas and Isabella. There is a price to pay for every endeavor in life, and the time lost with them as I travel the world is testament to their commitment to family.
