Implement the Pilot
A pilot test should aim to first assess learner interest in the program. Learner satisfaction with the tools, systems, applications, and content remains a critical consideration during any large-scale adoption. The pilot offers results that are specific to an organization. Financial data from the pilot is likely to form a more reliable basis for revenue, cost, adoption, and savings projections.Because the data demonstrates what is attainable in the organization's context, management is also likely to rely on pilot results for funding decisions. Other management considerations that might emerge as a result of the pilot might include staffing questions, administrative policies, and customer service and support. Senior management can also review the effectiveness of the tools and technologies through the process. Some of the managers and executives might even participate as learners themselves to gauge the effectiveness of Internet learning. |
