Statements that include contrasts or opposites often provide valuable information to help you understand new words. Contrasts and opposites tell us how things are different. By using a clue about what a word or phrase is not, you can judge what the word or phrase might be. In this lesson, you will learn to judge the meaning of unfamiliar words or phrases by using clues of opposites and contrasts.
