Lesson 19. Suffixes

Naming

Some suffixes work with roots to make nouns, or naming words. Teach is an action changed to a name by adding -er to give us teacher, "one who teaches." Assist is an action that is changed by adding -ant to give assistant, "one who assists." This lesson presents suffixes that form nouns or naming words.
