Making the move to Photoshop CS2 means joining forces with just about every image-editing professional on the planet. It's that ubiquitous. Photoshop CS2 is the professional image-editing standard.
Photoshop CS2 has some strong ties to Premiere Pro and the entire DV production process:
Edit in Adobe Photoshop Right-click on any Photoshop graphic in Premiere Pro either on the Timeline or in the Project panelnd select Edit in Adobe Photoshop (or Edit Original). This opens Photoshop and lets you immediately edit the graphic. Once saved within Photoshop, the new version of the graphic shows up in Premiere Pro.
Filmstrip export This feature is specifically designed to export a sequential collection of video frames for editing in Photoshop. You open the filmstrip in Photoshop and paint directly on the clips process called rotoscoping.
Create mattes Export a video frame to Photoshop to create a matte to mask or highlight certain areas of that clip or other clips.
Cut objects out of a scene Photoshop has several tools that work like a cookie cutter. You can remove an object and use it as an icon, a button in a DVD menu or animate it over a clip.
