OVERVIEW

The previous two chapters taught you how to use two different 3D sound APIs to achieve basic 3D positional effects. That's a great skill to know, but there's more to 3D sound than that.

This chapter will take a look at some advanced techniques for 3D sound. It will focus mainly on how to use environmental modeling to add some flavor to your 3D environments, but it will also touch on two advanced technologies: Creative's Environmental Audio Extensions (EAX) and Dolby technologies.
