Installing Windows 2000 Professional

This chapter prepares you to install Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.

Before You Begin

To complete this chapter, you must have

• A computer that meets the minimum hardware requirements listed in "Hardware Requirements."
• A Windows 2000 Professional CD-ROM.
• Four 3.5-inch floppy disks to create the Setup disks, if your computer isn't configured with an El Torito-compatible CD-ROM drive, which allows you to boot off your Windows 2000 Professional CD-ROM.
