WML provides an excellent and powerful way to create static web pages. The pages can be quite complicated, but the make capacity of WML enables much of the complexity to be put into variables, templates, and custom tags that can be reused. WML also incorporates all the power of Perl. WML is like a compiled language, as opposed to the interpreted Web languages Mason and Embperl, which we cover later.
