A measure of the volume of data that can be transmitted (typically per second) through a given communications system.

TKIP

Temporal Key Integrity Protocol. In WPA and 802.11i standards, TKIP is a mechanism for protecting the encryption key data used to secure 802.11 traffic. WPA TKIP includes per-packet keying and a message-integrity check. Per-packet keying generates a unique, one-way encrypted key per 802.11 packet.

Type N connector

Named after Paul Neill of Bell Labs after being developed in the 1940s. The Type N connector was developed to satisfy the need for a durable, weatherproof, medium-size RF connector with consistent performance through 11 GHz. This connector is used as the antenna connector for the Cisco BR1400 series bridges.
