4.6 SUMMARY

NNM is an SNMP-based network management tool that provides discovery, mapping, and monitoring of your network. You can access NNM by several methods:

Unix ovw interface:

NNM collects inventory information via SNMP and allows the user to view the information from any location on the network. It provides the ability discover and graphically display your network. The NNM interfaces are easy to navigate. It allows the user to locate and query devices. NNM can accept and display SNMP traps to help determine glitches in the network. Operators can be limited to read-only access if necessary. Now, move on to Chapter 5.
