Threading TerminologyInDesign has no text linking tools, like XPress. Instead, when you select a text frame with the Selection tool, you can see an in port at the upper left corner of the frame, and an out port on the lower right corner (see Figure 40-1). The in port of the first box in a thread is always empty. A red plus sign in the out port of a frame means there's more text than can fit (the text is overset ). When a triangle appears in an in or out port, it's an indicator that the text thread is continuing: In an in port, there is text coming from another frame preceding this frame; in an out port, text continues in another frame following this frame.
