Tools for Table Formatting

You can find almost every table-related feature in the Table menu, and most table-formatting features in the Table Options dialog box (press Command-Option-T/Ctrl-Alt-T; see Figure 75-2).

There is also the Cell Options dialog box (press Command-Option-B/Ctrl-Alt-B; see Figure 75-3), where you can set the attributes of selected cells. These include text attributes that we talk about in the next chapter; the stroke and fill attributes; row height, column width, and keep options (we also discuss the latter in the next chapter); and diagonal lines which can be applied across a cell.

InDesign also has a Table palette which contains the most common formatting options (see Figure 75-4). If it's not open, choose Table from the Window menu.
