Chapter 79. Creating ColorsQuarkXPress lets you define and manipulate colors in several placesthe Edit Color dialog box, the Styles menu, and the Color palette. InDesign uses two different palettes to create and manipulate colors. One of them, the Swatches palette, follows the XPress model of working with named colors. The other is the Color palettesimilar to the Color palette in Adobe Illustratorwhich allows you to use sliders to mix colors, and which can create and apply colors without naming them. As in QuarkXPress, you can mix colors in InDesign in CMYK, RGB, and Lab (but not HSB) color models, and you can define colors as either process or spot.
