Chapter 81. Gradients

In QuarkXPress you can create

blends which can be applied to the background of boxes. InDesign allows you to create

gradients which are considerably more flexible in several ways: Gradients can be applied to the strokes of frames, paths, groups of objects, and even to text. You can create and save gradients in the Swatches palette (so you can later globally change them throughout your document), and you can define gradients that have more than two colors.
