Using standard InfoPath features in design mode, you can build a form interface using menus or objects on the task pane. This chapter shows how these controls relate to sets of XML tags in the XSF schema, expanding somewhat on the form definition example you’ve seen already.
As a basis for these examples, you’ll work with a simple schema, based on the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI) recommendations. If you want to look at the recommendations in depth, consult the extensive material at [http://dublincore.org].
When you get to the case study later on in the book, you’ll formalize the schema and develop it to include elements from other meta data vocabularies. First, we’ll introduce some concepts around resource meta data and Dublin Core elements and look at an example.
