Editing Scripts

Once you have created a basic script that finds and prints, it's a very straightforward process to adapt the original script to make a minor change. In this example, we specify a different sort order before we print the report.

To edit a script

1 .Choose Scripts > ScriptMaker (Control+Shift+S/Command+Shift+S).

2 .In the Define Scripts list of scripts, highlight the name of the script you want to change, then click Edit.

3 .When the Edit Script dialog box appears, highlight the Sort Records (Restore) step (Figure 7.17). In the Script Step Options section, click Specify.

4 .When the Sort Records dialog box appears, highlight Full Name in the Sort Order, and drag it to the top of the list (Figure 7.18). Click OK three times to finish.
