A1: | Press Command-Shift-3 and the Mac OS will take a picture of whatever is on your screen. Then from Photoshop, go to File>Open and look for a file called "Picture 1," usually on your hard drive. (If you take several pictures, they will be named "Picture 2," "Picture 3," etc.) Don't double-click the file or it will launch into another application, not Photoshop. That should do it! |

| Windows: For just the active window, press Alt-Print Screen; for the entire screen, press Print Screen. Now just go to File>New and then choose Edit>Paste in Photoshop. Macintosh:
For just the active window, press Command-Shift-4-Spacebar (in that order); for the entire screen, press Command-Shift-3. Now open the file that's created on your hard disk (see previous question). |
