The Network Infrastructure
Based on the learning demand at the access level (both content volume and types of media), a robust network infrastructure is needed to meet the resulting bandwidth requirements. The network infrastructure ensures availability, scalability, security, quality of service, performance, and the ability to simultaneously deliver data, voice, and video. IP streaming and video-on-demand (VoD) applications are highly dependent on a high-capacity network. In many cases, the network infrastructure is the critical factor that determines the extent to which a learning manager may push the envelope for learning innovation.
