68 Add a Chart to a Spreadsheet

OpenOffice.org's spreadsheet program Calc produces excellent charts and graphs. In many documents, you'll need to include a chart and possibly a spreadsheet to make a point more clear. Business reports, for example, are full of charts, spreadsheets, and text, all working together to demonstrate the financial health of a company.

You'll find that copying charts and spreadsheets into a Writer document is extremely simple to do. Both require that you start in Calc, because Calc is the source of such charts and spreadsheets. All you need to do is select the chart or spreadsheet and drag or copy it into your document. Writer recognizes the copied chart or spreadsheet, and you can resize and format the chart or spreadsheet using Writer's tools.
