Ramadhan - The Month Of Allah (s.w.t)
O People! This is the month of Allah coming to you with mercy, blessings and forgiveness; in the sight of Allah, it is the most superior month, its days, nights and hours are the best. In this month you are the guests of Allah, enjoying His hospitality. Your every breath shall be deemed utterances of glory of His name, your sleep a form of worship
Holy Prophet (s.a.w)
The ninth month in the Islamic Calendar, Ramadhan, holds special significance for believers and Muslims all over the world. It presents believers an opportunity for self-appraisal and self-purification. It is the month of fasting, intense prayers and asking for forgiveness. After eleven months of indulgence it provides an opportunity to believers to "return back" to the creator. Without such a month during the year, undoubtedly man would not pause to reflect on his conduct as he is forced to do during this month.Ramadhan is a blessed month and a truly unique month. In this month millions of Muslims world-wide unite in striving to please the Almighty and refrain from worldly desires with the aim of purifying their soul and strengthening their will power. The month provides us with an opportunity to wipe away our sins and start with a clean slate. It also gives us an opportunity to help the poor and those less fortunate than ourselves.
Let us therefore take time to reflect upon the glory of this month and the opportunity it provides us with. Let us meet these opportunities and challenges with the purest of intentions. Indeed he is unfortunate who witnesses the month and does not benefit from its blessings.
We also take this opportunity to wish all Muslims worldwide a happy and a joyous Eid. Eid represents the conclusion of this holy month and marks a complete and a successful step in the journey of a Muslim individual towards seeking the ultimate pleasure of the hereafter.
