Checking Your Spelling

This isn't something you would ordinarily expect in a graphics program, but it's a big help now that Photoshop has so much type capability. When you're not sure about spelling in a headline, simply go to EditCheck Spelling. Photoshop will check your work and, if it finds a possible mistake, will offer you choices. Figure 17.27 shows mine.

Although Photoshop's never going to be much of a word processor, and you might never need this function, it's nice to know that you can use it to find and change words or characters in your poster text. Find and Replace Text, also accessed from the Edit menu, searches for a word, letter, or symbol you enter and then automatically changes it to whatever you have entered in its place. Naturally, neither of these functions work after you have rasterized the type.
