Begin with Knowledge-Sharing Tools: E-Communications


Moving forward with an integrated learning effort should begin with the deployment of knowledge-sharing tools. Knowledge sharing is actually just e-communication: the tools that make it possible to get information from one person to many people quickly and consistently. Because of its widespread user access, knowledge sharing is likely to most conspicuously impact the organization. Because knowledge sharing does not replace any instructor-led training efforts, the resistance is likely to be the least. Knowledge sharing will likely have productivity advantages, affect a maximum number of participants, and save travel dollars for the organization. Even the most skeptical of stakeholders has a hard time arguing against the benefits of and savings from deploying an e-communication suite.
